How to measure door width

The height and width measurements of your door space measured from brickwork to brickwork from the outside (see below). To get an accurate size it will be necessary to remove some of the rendering surrounding the frame.

Width

Measure in 3 points - top, middle and bottom. Then take the smallest measurement and deduct 10mm.     

 Please note. We will make the door to the sizes you give us. You must make the 10mm deduction yourself .

We strongly recommend that you double check your measurements prior to requesting a quote, as errors in measurements cannot be accepted once your door has been placed on our production list.

Most front doors open inwards, into the house. We give you the choice of an inwards opening or an outwards opening, so you can choose which would be best for your situation.
An outwards opening door can greatly benefit halls and entrance rooms with a lack of space, where the doorway may be restricted with an inwards opening.
